This task was produced by the APU. However, specific Technical Quality Data is not currently available for this task. This experiment was observed by the teachers from the schools who completed the checklists for each student. Analysis of the checklists can indicate whether students follow instructions accurately, but can also point to where lack of technique might inhibit the completion of the task. On these questions some 80% of students from both ages followed instruction in accordance with the questions, but only about half of the sample at each age could complete the filtering of the liquid without either help or some contamination of the filtrate.
