GROUP ACTIVITY
- The Martiki Coal Corporation has worked on a coal mine reclamation
project for several years. As you begin this task, you will work
with your group to study and discuss the information on the Martiki
Coal Corporation. There are three sections, labeled A, B, and
C in the Martiki Coal Corporation's Nomination for 1990 Reclamation
Award. Each person should read one section; two people may
read one section at the same time, if necessary. You may use the
highlighter or other writing utensil to mark the document. After
you have read your section, summarize the information for your
group. A chart is provided that you will use to assist you in
your analysis of the data found in the Martiki Coal Corporation
document. Everyone in the group must actively participate in the
document review process. Each member of the group should record
the group's information on his or her own response form in the

- Based on the information the group gathered, describe how effectively
the reclamation process analyze the impact of the mine on the
local environment. Then, using this information and the information
