1985 Administration
Task: At this station, you will determine measurements
of various items.
Ten different measuring instruments have been set up all ready
for you to look at.
Do not change them in any way
Answer as many of the questions below as you can. Don't forget
to say what units you are using.
This is an example answer to show what we mean.
How wide is this page?
- How much water is there in the measuring cylinder?
- How big is the force with which the rubber bands pull on
the hook?
- What is the mass of the object X?
- What is the length of the pencil?
- What is the temperature of the water in the flask?
- How long had the stop clock been running before
it was stopped? (It started at zero.)
- Press the push button to switch on the current.
Read the current through the circuit on the ammeter.
- Press the push-button again. Read the voltmeter.
- How much liquid is there in the syringe?
