After reading the student response assigned the highest score point, read the Description column in the Scoring Guide (rubric) for that score point. Continue reading the remaining student response levels, comparing their contents to the Scoring Guide point descriptions. Factors that may not be apparent in assigned scores may include the lack of color or clarity during copying, the completeness of the response, or other specific directions that may affect the final score.
